Image Use and Copyright Policy

Updated 19 December 2024

At Reign by Reign, we take the use of images seriously. This policy explains how we source, credit, and use images across our website. By following these guidelines, we respect copyright law, protect creators’ rights, and maintain the integrity of our work.

Image Sources

  • Official studio and distributor materials: We use press kits, trailers, and promotional stills released by film studios and distributors. These are intended for media use and are credited where required.

  • Licensed stock images: When suitable press materials are not available, we use images licensed from reputable stock providers.

  • Creative Commons or public domain: In some cases, we use images that have been made available under Creative Commons licenses or are confirmed to be in the public domain. These are always credited in line with the license terms.

Fair Use

Because Reign by Reign is a film publication, we may use images under “fair use” provisions. This includes the use of stills, posters, and promotional material for purposes such as:

  • Commentary and critique

  • News reporting

  • Educational discussion of film history and culture

Such images are used selectively and always in context, not as substitutes for commercial use or redistribution.

Whenever possible, image credits are displayed directly below or alongside the image. If an official credit line is provided by the studio, distributor, or photographer, we use it.

Reader Submissions

We do not currently accept image submissions from readers. If we expand this policy, any future submission process will include written consent from the creator confirming that they own the rights to their work.

Reporting Concerns

If you believe an image on Reign by Reign has been used improperly, please contact us with the image link and details. We will review the case promptly and, if necessary, remove or replace the image.
